About this Comic Strip -- "Yasha's New Friend"Yasha likes to talk. But unfortunately for the other prisoners, he tends to tell the same story... over and over again. So, it's not surprising that Bruno, Vovik, and Yosif have no time for him. And that's why Yasha is on the lookout for a new friend. (By the way, you might want to know where Jakob is... Well, he doesn't actually appear in this particular comic strip, but you will notice that he is referred to by Yasha as "the Teacher".)Characters featured:Yasha (played by actor Quentin McCuiston), Bruno (Sal Rendino), Vovik (Peter Iasillo, Jr.), Yosif (Sean Patrick Folster), and the prison rat (played by Stockings).
UNDER JAKOB'S LADDERis an upcoming feature film set in a prison in the Soviet Union in 1938. The prison is populated with a whole assortment of characters. Because of the nature of the regime, most of these prisoners were political prisoners, arrested because they did not agree with the policies of the Communist State.THIS COMIC STRIPis based on scenes from the movie, as well as story ideas that did not make the final draft of the screenplay.
