	PRESS RELEASE Extras needed for feature film to be shot in the Hudson Valley It will be lights, camera and action in Chester, NY come spring... CHESTER, NY (February 28, 2009) CubeCity Entertainment, Inc. is bringing its production of Under Jakob's Ladder -- a full length feature film that tells the story of a man imprisoned during Stalin's Soviet regime at the outset of World War II -- to the Chester/Monroe area in April and May 2009. The producers are looking for a range of all-ages volunteers to serve as movie extras. "We need extras to basically play the people that populate the Ukrainian village," says producer Roberto Munoz, "This includes filling a classroom with children, ages 8-13." The film portrays the true-life story of the main character, Jakob, who is denounced by a neighbor and imprisoned after praying at a funeral. While in prison, he and his fellow detainees must overcome many hardships. "Ultimately," says Munoz, "the movie has a message of hope." Extras will be fed during the shoot and their names will appear in the film credits for their participation. Descriptions of extras being sought include: School-aged youth -- ages 8-13 -- male/female -- to be a part of some scenes that take place in a Soviet-era classroom (c. 1929). Teens -- male/female -- to be a part of village scenes -- must be able to act as if having lived through hard times, including a past famine. Women -- for village scenes, including a funeral -- must be able to act as if they have lived through hard times, including a past famine. Men -- as prisoners and/or villagers -- must appear as though they lived through famine conditions. The casting process (to include a few minor speaking roles) will begin as early as February 28, 2009. Auditions will be held in the Chester area at Roe's Orchards, 3278 Route 94.
