Dear J Gets on IMDb.com
NEW YORK, NY :: August 4, 2008 :: When doing a search on a favorite movie, most people turn to IMDb.com. It's even become a standard for professionals in the industry.
Which is why 'Dear J' getting a listing on IMDb is news to celebrate. As filmmaker Roberto Munoz's first feature film, 'Dear J' is now listed on the IMDb site. Says Munoz, "We tried to submit it back in the fall of 2007. But they wouldn't accept it, probably because they're inundated with all sorts of bogus submissions."
Munoz resubmitted this summer, not long after the movie was picked up by Netflix. And it was probably that bit of info that helped put 'Dear J' into the IMDb database.
For those unfamiliar with the film, 'Dear J' follows the story of an evangelist named James Jamisin, who struggles with the untimely death of his agnostic girlfriend. 'Dear J' is a reference to the final letter his girlfriend wrote to him before her accident; a letter James can’t bring himself to open.
