Q&A with Karen Lynn Gorney
On her role as the Judge... her thoughts on the script of the new feature film "Dear J"... and her memories from her early career on the movie "Saturday Night Fever"...

Q: When did you discover acting was what you wanted to do?
A: At age 9, Ma forced me to go to acting class because I was too shy to be a singer.

Q: What are some other memories from your career?
A: I only seem to be able to remember lines from the Shakespeare I've done. And my very Zen lines from "Saturday Night Fever".

Q: What did you think when you first read the script?
A: Thought it was wild and crazy and fun and profound at the same time.

Q: What attracted you to working on this film?
A: I've never played God or a Judge in a film. Only in real life.

Q: How did you find the atmosphere on the set?
A: Warm and fun and full of humor.

Q: Who is your favorite character in the film?
A: My Court Clerk, [the Bailiff, played by Michael C. Kricfalusi, pictured left].

Q: Tell about working on the film.
A: My Clerk used to pretend we were having a wild affaire. He would joke with me after each take.

Q: What was it like to work with Director Roberto Munoz?
A: Fabulous!*

A: Peter O'Toole, Larry Olivier.

Q: What "lesson from mom" do you still live by today?
A: Be polite and kind to people and animals.

Q: What’s the craziest thing you have done?
A: Become an Actor instead of a Lawyer!
