DVD FAQs
» Back to DVD webpage... Q: How much is shipping?A: Shipping is as follows within the United States or Canada: $2.99 1 item $4.99 2 - 4 items $6.99 5 or more items Q: How do I purchase a DVD with PayPal?A: There are a few options open to you when you use PayPal to purchase a DVD. If you are a PayPal member, you should be familiar with their system. If not, then you can also use the PayPal system to order with a major credit card.
Q: I don't have an account with PayPal. Can't I just use my credit card?A: Yes! The PayPal system does accept major credit cards (listed above) and you don't have to sign up for a PayPal account. Just click on the yellow "Add to Cart" button. This will take you to checkout. You will then be taken to a page where they ask for your PayPal information. Look for the "Don't have a PayPal account?" at the bottom left-hand corner of the page. Follow the link they provide there. It should be pretty straight forward. Q: Can I purchase a DVD with a check or money order?A: Yes, you can. However, we may need to allow the check to clear before we send off the DVD. If you decide to use a check or money order to purchase a DVD, simply download the order form here (Adobe Acrobat Reader - 1.6 MB). If that's too large a file for your computer, try downloading this simplified form (Adobe Acrobat Reader - only 170 KB). If you have any additional questions, please contact us by email. Q: I'm having trouble with my order. What should I do?A: If you are having trouble with your order, please contact us. Please let us know what the exact problem seems to be (i.e. "PayPal doesn't seem to be working" or "When I click on the order button, the webpage doesn't exist.") Q: When can I expect to see my copy of the DVD that I purchased with my gala ticket in October 2007?A: If you purchased a copy of the DVD with your gala ticket in October 2007, you should have already received your copy of the DVD, or will be receiving it very shortly. Please note that the title of the DVD has been changed to "Dear J". If you have any questions, please email us. Q: I don't live in the United States or Canada. Will the DVD work on my player?A: It all depends. The "Dear J" DVD is coded to play in DVD players in 'Region 1' only. Unless your DVD player was purchased in either the USA or Canada, it will not be able to play 'Region 1' DVDs. Q: What is 'Region 1'?A: It's a code that simply refers to the area of the world where these DVDs will work. If you live in Canada or the United States, you should have a 'Region 1' DVD player. If your DVD player (whether stand-alone or in your computer or TV) is not able to play 'Region 1' DVDs, we are sorry but this DVD will most likely be incompatible with your system. >> For more on DVD Region Codes Q: Is the DVD appropriate for kids?A: While the film "Dear J" is not considered a children's movie per se, there is nothing in the movie that should be particularly disturbing to a child. (Example: there is no nudity in the film.) On the other hand, the subject matter will probably be above the head of a young child, but you could explain some of it ahead of time. You can do this by going over the film's synopsis. (Note: Our own kids and grandkids have watched the movie with us (ages 3-7)... Sometimes to the point where they can quote the dialogue!)
Recently, "Dear J" was reviewed by the Dove Foundation. Not only did they give it four doves, they also gave it their "Family-Friendly" seal of approval for ages 12 and up. Q: What about showing the movie to my teens or a youth group?A: We have shown the movie to various teenagers. We have found that different teens have different reactions. The movie is certainly not a light-hearted comedy. But if you have a serious-minded teen, the movie should provide many interesting discussion points. We found that the movie made the most impact on older teens. If you are interested in showing the movie to your youth group, take a look at our movie night package. » back to top » back to DVD Info... |
